House of Paloma, a name proudly carried on as it was the name of my mother’s business at the time I was born, is truly a family affair. My husband and I have three glorious vibrant children, they are all the reason I do absolutely everything I do. When I am not working on House of Paloma, we spend our days by the ocean or in the kitchen cooking together, dreaming up our wildest adventures.
Founding House of Paloma is a dream come true, born out of creative necessity. My desire is to create distinctive yet playful clothing - ready for any great adventure. I want to offer unique modern designs that are of the highest quality without compromising on the use of sustainable natural fibres. Striving to go beyond trends, House of Paloma pushes the boundaries of women’s & children’s clothing with our exquisite signature broderie anglaise, heavenly textures, unique silhouettes, and of course, sans pareil attention to detail.
As a girl, my mother would tell me the most fantastic stories of my French grandmother; who raised her young family in a Dutch Colony deep in the jungle, on an island off Indonesia. She would import the finest French broderie anglaise to sew her daughters’ beautiful dresses. A fierce advocate for always looking your best; she would begin each day with her favourite lipstick, dressed in her best; even when simply tending to her abundant vegetable garden. Some of our most adored designs have been inspired directly by these distant memories. Including our beautiful Agnes Set which was recreated from a treasured photo I have of my mother wearing an olive green, high-waisted cotton bikini my grandmother had made.
Spending close to three years going back and forth with many different artisans and ateliers to source the best handcrafted clothing and accessories. Our community of talented creatives has blossomed into an extraordinary global project, with a curated handful who excel in their crafts. We bring you House of Paloma’s exceptional quality Linen and Cotton fabrics, hand-made sustainable garments, along with our growing collection of divine shoes & accessories.
Although House of Paloma is still a young business, we are dedicated to learning and evolving. Working closely with our beautiful family run manufacturers in China, Greece, Italy, Spain and Madagascar – Fair wage, good working conditions, sustainable practices and minimal waste is our core commitment.
House of Paloma is more than just a clothing brand, it is truly an authentic extension of myself - a place for ideas to flourish, and a creative space to inspire. We invite you to join us on our journey of a more considered, slower and thoughtful way of life.
